Read More About Our Alumni Abby Cleary and Luke Walsh.

We have two young alumni of our program whose teams have recently won national championships. Bison Hockey is very proud to recognize Abby Cleary and Luke Walsh.

Abby Cleary and her teammates at Shattuck-St Mary’s School won the national championship in Blaine, Minnesota in women’s U19 ice hockey in April. Abby scored the winning goal in sudden death to secure the gold medal. After graduating in June, Abby is going to attend Quinnipiac College in Hamden Connecticut this fall. Quinnipiac’s women’s ice hockey team just finished the season at 30-3-5 and was ranked 5th in the country. They have developed major programs in both men’s & women’s hockey. Congratulations to Abby and her parents Maureen & John Cleary and siblings Ellie & Jack.

Luke Walsh is a member of the University of North Carolina Men’s Lacrosse team that recently won the Division I National Championship. Luke is a junior midfielder. Earlier in May, Luke was recognized as a Scholar Athlete for his academic performance by the university and he was the recipient of the “Iron Ram Award” from the Strength & Conditioning Coaching Staff for his hard work and leadership. Congratulations to Luke and his parents Amy Clifton & Barney Walsh and brothers Sam & Ben.
