We are very pleased to have Jamie leading us into the next era of Bison Hockey. His experience as both a coach and teacher will benefit all of our players in many ways. Jamie Printz, Bison Hockey Director

I am very excited to become the next Hockey Director of the Buffalo Bisons. Coach and Player development has been a passion of mine for years, and I can’t wait to continue. This is a great opportunity for me to give back to a game that has been so good to me.

Jamie came to Buffalo in 2009 to serve as Head Coach of the Nichols School Boys Prep Team. Under Jamie’s leadership the Nichols Boys Prep Hockey Program has been amongst the top prep schools in country over the last decade.

In addition to coaching at Nichols Jamie has been a member of the Admissions Department. Previously, Jamie served as a math teacher in the Upper School, Chair of the Upper School Physical Education Department, and a coach of many sports including girls soccer and boys lacrosse in the Middle School.

Julie & Rich Gicewicz, Bison & Nichols Parents

Coach Printz has coached both of our boys and worked with our girls both on the ice and in the classroom. His knowledge of the game and thoughtful approach have made them better players and people. We can’t think of a more exceptional individual to lead the Nichols Girls and Bison Programs to the next level.

Next season, in addition to becoming Bison Hockey Director Jamie will also serve as Nichols School’s Girls Prep Hockey Coach.

Rob Stewart - Nichols School Director of Athletics

In 2009 we hired Jamie after a national search process. Over the last eleven seasons he has brought great stability to our Boys Hockey Program at Nichols. Now we excited Jamie will lead our Girls Hockey Program.

Prior to Nichols Jamie was the Assistant Men’s Hockey Coach at the University of Southern Maine for five years. Jamie also served as Head Hockey Coach, math teacher, and Assistant Dean of Students at Bridgton Academy in Maine for 10 years Jamie has coached more than 200 players who have gone on to play college hockey. His overall coaching record stands at 487-383-74.

Shelley Looney, Former Bison Hockey Director. Head Coach Women’s Hockey Lindenwood University, St Louis MS

This is a great news for Bison Hockey. I have had the opportunity to work with him over the last few years, and I think he will be a great fit and asset to the program. He is a good person and talented coach.

Jamie and his wife Danielle have two daughters Callista & Hayden. Both girls attend Nichols and started playing hockey in the Bison Initiation Cross-Ice Program.

Jamie Printz, Bison Hockey Director

I am looking forward to the opportunity to move Bison Hockey forward on the boys and girls side. We will give Bison players a quality team experience, great training, with great coaching. We will provide the coaches with the resources they need to continue to improve in their roles creating a better experience for their players. The Bison organization will be a destination for players looking for that experience in a sport they can play for the rest of their lives.
