The Bisons Win!
With a 4 to 1 victory over the Rochester Edge, the Buffalo Bison's have earned their second consecutive New York State 12U Tier1 Girls Championship.
Tonights victory caps an undefeated run through the tournament with strong team play and goals from Emily Kromer, Anna Flaherty, Sophie Robison, and Charleigh Rondeau.
This year's season began for the Bison's nearly six months ago in September of last year. Through more than 40 games and countless miles travelled, this years team had it's ups and downs but always worked hard and respected each other. Thanks to all of this year's Players, Coaches, and Parents for another successful Bison season.
Bison's Win Game 1 of the NYS Tournament
Riding a 27 Save performance from Jada Brenon, one of the State's best female goaltender's, the Buffalo Bison's 12U Girls received two clucth goals from veteran Renee Lauer and rookie Alexa Carlon to win Game 1 of the 2013 NY State 12U Tier 1 Girls Tournament. Carlon's goal, with less than one minute remaining in the game, gave the Bison's a 2-1 victory over the Syracuse Nationals.
The Bison's next face the Rochester Edge. With a vicotry in this game, the Bison's can secure their second consecutive New York State Tier 1 12U Girls title. Game time is 7:30pm this evening at the Twin Rinks in Cicero, NY.
