Quick Guide
• Your attention needs to be on the LCD display on the operation console. Most of what's happening is cued on the console display.

• Up to 6 penalties can be entered on the console for each team at a time. The scoreboard will display 2, and will automatically move penalties up as they are cancelled/expired. You do not need to remove penalties that have expired.

Tips for Operator:
1. Know your curfew before heading over to the scoring bench. Warm-ups are three minutes. Don’t wait a long time to start the warm-up, the ice schedule is tight this year.
2. Don’t sound the horn after home team goals.
3. If you have a problem, such as leaving the clock off after play resumes, estimate the magnitude of the error and discuss with referee at the next stoppage in play. You can get the referee to come over the scoring bench by beeping the horn and waving him over (after a stoppage in play of course
4. Be a neutral observer.
Score sheet Instructions
1. Western New York Amateur Hockey League.
2. Make sure coaches have signed the score sheet.
3. Check with the team coach for game number and Division and to determine who (coach or manager) will be responsible for mailing the score sheet to the league statistician.
4. The time of goals and penalties can be either remaining time (i.e. the time the clock shows) or elapsed time (such as used in the NHL), as long as you are consistent.
5. At the end of the game, draw an x though blank sections on the score sheet, before the referee signs the score sheet.
